Peace in His Promise

Truth

For a few months I have been dealing with a situation that I believe what is happening is not God’s will, but He has not done anything about it. I have not understood what my role should be in it so I have felt a sense of turmoil over it. Recently, I began to pray desperately for a clear answer from God about His will for me in the midst of it. Was I to make a change or was He going to make a change. Sometimes God allows us to get in situations that move us to a different place and sometimes He allows us to be in these situations for other reasons and does not want us to change anything. I needed to know which one I was in. So I prayed and I prayed. One week went by, no answer. Another week went by, no answer. Then at the end of the next week, on Easter morning, the preacher closed His Easter Service out with these words, “If you are in a situation in which you can’t understand what God is doing, remember, in God’s timing, He makes all things new. Trust Him and He will make it new.” (Revelation 21:5)

I knew God had spoken a specific promise to me about my situation. I was not supposed to do anything but simply trust God with the situation and wait for His timing to make it new.

How did I know that God had spoken a promise to me about my specific situation? My husband said, “You recognized His voice.” God has made promises to me before and some have taken a long time and a great deal of struggle to see them come to pass, but He has been faithful to bring them to pass. I walked away from there with such a sense of peace for the first time in a long time because I had a promise from God. And I knew that all the promises of God in Him are Yes and Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Ignite

The apostle Paul wrote, And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9).

 Inspire

Dear Sister, we must trust God in the midst of all our situations and struggles because in due time we will see His new, His yes and His amen. And when we do it builds our faith for the next time! God is so incredibly good!
