If Only My Husband Knew

I have been given a wonderful, yet unique and somewhat scary opportunity to speak at a men’s retreat about marriage. I guess you could say they are sending me in to be a voice for their wives. Some how I am supposed to step in to a room full of men and give them something that makes a difference in their marriage and helps them understand their wife. Wow! Is that ever a task!

I am honored they asked and excited that a significant part of their retreat is to help men with their relationships with their wives. However, I also feel the weight of responsibility with such a serious task. If you are reading this, I ask you to join me in prayer. Please agree with me that God will give me something significant to share with these men. Pray that it makes a real difference in the marriages represented there.

A Back Door Approach to Women’s Ministry

This is an unusual blog post because I normally write to teach women about God’s word and how His word can impact everyday life issues. However, marriage is an everyday issue for those of you who are married. This is somewhat of a back door approach to my calling to minster to women. I’m taking what I know from my personal experience from divorce and marriage. And I am working through Scriptures that shed light on marriage.

The back door approach to women’s ministry here is, by faith. I believe that God will equip me to impart something to these men beneficial to their marriages. In turn, that will benefit their wives. Hence, my call to minister to women, impacting them with the truth of God’s word in their everyday life of marriage will be realized.

What is it you wish your husband knew?

Today’s blog post is short and sweet in hopes that you will take the time to share with me the things you wish your husband knew or understood about you.  it would make all the difference in your life, your marriage, your home…

Please, please, please, take a moment to pray about it, think about it, and leave a comment below that explains something you wish your husband really could understand about you or about your marriage. You have no idea what God will do! So, join me as I work through the message God has for the husbands at that retreat.

This one is really hard for all of us! Men may struggle worse with that because God wired them to need our respect. Love and Respect is a great book that talks about this very thing! Thank you so much for your reply!
