Terri Tyson serves as a middle school guidance counselor at Good Hope Middle School in West Monroe, LA. Terri has been employed with the Ouachita Parish School System for the past 20 years.  She obtained her B.A. in Speech Pathology in 1987 and practiced speech therapy in the school system for 12 years before receiving her Masters of Education (Professional and School Counseling) degree in 1998.  Terri earned her National Board Certification in the area of professional and school counseling in 2005.

 

Terri has a love and excitement for working with students in many capacities.  Her experience has ranged from school counseling to church youth camp leader.  She currently ministers to young girls in an All Girls Life Group where she serves as a co-leader at First Baptist Church of West Monroe.

 

Terri’s testimony, along with her passion for working with the youth of today has deepened her desire to help students find their purpose in life through Christ  Jesus our Lord.
