A godly friend is a priceless treasure. This morning I was reminded of the value of a godly friend while praying for the women participating in my online Bible study program DIG.  I felt like Jesus said, “They need to know that you are praying for them.” So, I opened up their DIG Facebook group and put the prayer I prayed for them in a post . Abraham’s faith took me by surprise this morning. If I have read Romans 4 once, I have read it at least a hundred times. But today was one of those days where the Word of God turned me upside down. When I read the words, “who, contrary to hope, in hope believed.” Contrary to hope basically says against all hope. The Scripture passage focused on Abraham’s faith. I believe that God’s word works and has an affect on any person who reads it and believes it.  We have the greatest treasure at our fingertips, yet this treasure is often overlooked. Attitude of Gratitude

If we see a person with an attitude of gratitude, their basic approach to life would be thankful. The book of Psalms show us that David had attitude of gratitude, especially towards God. David authored at least 74 of the 150 psalms. 12 of those 74 psalms are identified as songs of praise or thanksgiving. David understood that everything good he had, God had given him.   (more…)
