Today completes the Quest For Wholeness Blog and Podcast series. I hope you gained encouragement and experienced healing and wholeness in some area of your life during this past 6 months of Quest For Wholeness.
One day we will experience complete healing and wholeness in every area of life.
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
How I long for that day of complete healing.
Complete healing takes us back to the way God created everything to be in the beginning. There was no curse at that point. Then man sinned. From that point on, man needed healing.
Everything Jesus did was to get us back to the perfect way He planned for us before creation. Complete healing is for all who come to Jesus. The last chapter in the Bible, Revelation 22 pictures that complete healing.
Jesus is the Beginning and the End.
Jesus is our Healer and completes our healing.
Read Gen. 2:8-10 and 3:8 to refresh your memory of how it all began for man in the Garden of Eden. (This pictures the way we were created to live.)
Now compare that picture to Rev. 22:1-5. (This pictures the way life will be restored to be.)
What 4 things are seen in both these passages from Genesis (The Beginning) and Revelation (The Completion)?
- Trees that provide food
- The tree of life
- A river running through it
- The presence of the Lord
These 4 things give us a glimpse of what eternity will be like. The one word that comes to mind when I look at the 4 things is “LIFE.”
Revelation 22:4 lists 6 things that won’t be in eternity.
- No curse
- No sun
- No sadness
- No sickness,
- No more sin
- No separation.
This list makes me think, “Finally! Complete Healing!”
I have known people who knew Jesus as Savior and were very sick with disease. Some experienced healing here and some have gone home to be with the Lord. Some suffered in their last days here on earth. All that is gone now. They are in the presence of God Almighty.
Even in their death, death had no victory over them because they knew Jesus as Lord and Savior. Death for them was only the birth of a spectacular and glorious eternity of complete healing and wholeness like nothing any of us ever imagined.
- I love these encouraging words of Paul especially in light of physical death.
Here is a prayer I prayed for you. Please join me in agreement and pray this for yourself.
Precious Heavenly Daddy,
I pray that, my beloved sister will be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that her labor is not in vain in the Lord. I pray that these words will be forever imposed in her heart and mind and will always spur her against complacency in the Lord. May she delight in You all the days of her life.
I am so thankful you went on this Quest for Wholeness. May God bless you, change you, and fill you to overflowing. Now that you have received, it is your turn to share what God has given to you.
But it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
nor entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
