Quest For Wholeness – Lessons from the Life of Hezekiah Podcast 7

Lessons from the Life of Hezekiah

Pat Domangue and Taylor Draughn link arms & expertise to present a blog and podcast series with biblical teaching and professional counseling.

Over the past few podcasts, we have learned:

  • In the New Testament, over and over again, the work of God in lives was conditional, based on faith. Thus we are looking at lives filled with faith.
  • Joshua realized his link to the past was dead. This is necessary for moving into the Promised land, forgetting the past, and reaching forward to the Promise of God in our life.
  • Caleb wholly followed the Lord. He was wholehearted in his devotion to God. Wholehearted does not mean perfect. Caleb had to have a stick-to-it-ness for 45 years to receive his promise.
  • Northern Israel made small concessions in their life which eventually resulted in their removal (by God) from their Promised land.

This week we are going to look at what was happening in Southern Israel or Judah at the same time that Northern Israel was being carried away because they had walked in such deliberate opposition concerning the Lord and His commands. Our story will focus on lessons from the life of Hezekiah.
