It is Your Choice!

Your Choice

Your Choice

Yes, you have a choice to make when faced with any trial or affliction in your life. Will you fear or only believe? It is your choice to either stand strong in the Lord or to fall prey to the enemy. Actually we have a choice to make each and every day whether everything is going great or not so great.

1 John 5:5

Who is he who overcomes the world,

but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Your Choice

In Joshua 24:15, Joshua proclaims to the people of Israel to:

  • “choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve”

and then boldly professes,

  • “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Living for the Lord is a daily choice. Each and every day, we must make a decision to serve and love Him.

Why? Because, serving and loving Jesus does not come natural to us.

What comes natural to us is to:

  • serve ourselves,
  • do what we like
  • do what feels good and makes us happy.

If we fall into the “It is all about ‘Me’” trap, we are choosing. That choice is not God.

I hope when reading the blog post, you choose to read through the Scripture verses we identify. In so doing you are giving God the opportunity to speak to you in a very personal and intimate way. If you choose otherwise, I am afraid that you might miss out on a very special blessing. But, it is Your Choice.

Romans 7:18a

For I know that in me (that is in my flesh) nothing good dwells.

Romans 8:8

So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Read Galatians 5:16-18 and answers the question, How can we overrule the flesh?

Read Deuteronomy 30:11-20. Please read it out loud. There is power in the spoken and heard word of God!

Psalm 29:4
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

Take a moment to think through the questions below. Maybe even right down your answers.

Is there anything that struck you as being significant as you read Deuteronomy 30:11-20 ? If so, what do you think God was saying to you through that?

God is good! He gave us the freedom to make our own choices and then rewards us for choosing Him. I love Him! He is my great treasure and reward!

Psalm 1:6

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,

but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
